The list of 75,000 names we will be mailing to is from a combination of sources. Approximately 40,000 names are our own customers who have purchased an AddOn or given us their address when downloading a trial or freebie. Another 30,000 names are sourced from a popular Outlook, Office and ACT! AddOn Vendor and the last 5,000 are created from Broadlook MarketMapper and Profiler. Broadlook basically “spiders” the web and gives us what we ask for -- verified names of principals in Real Estate, Mortgage, and the Financial industries to name a few.

We’ve been in the ACT! and GoldMine business for almost 20 years and we know who our users are. They are primarily decision makers, outside sales people, small business owners and entrepreneurs. Multiple seat licenses account for about 1/3 of the base, with companies typically ranging from 4 to 20 employees.

ACT! and GM users are very typical type A technology users. High income, frequent travel, multi-tasking people needing to keep track of many details, primarily about their customers. They are likely to have their basic applications open all day and use them frequently throughout the day. Usually the user is involved in selling a product or service, tracking clients old and new or supervising such activities.

Over three fourths of ACT!/GM users are involved in using their small accounting system application such as QuickBooks or Peachtree. And although there is no statistic handy, there is no doubt most of these folks use Outlook and/or Office.

The aim of this catalog is to enlighten these application users about the tools they can use to customize their daily technology routine and make their work lives much easier and more profitable. When you provide a solution that saves a user hours and hours, you are the hero. It is amazing how many people we talk to that had no idea third party products even existed or had any idea where to find them. The AddOn Catalog will surely make heroes of us all.
